A new UNESCO Chair dedicated to medicinal plants at the Universidad de la Habana (UH) with the support of Salerno UNESCO Chair (established in 2021) “Plants for Health in the Mediterranean Traditions” and Cattedra UNESCO Genova (established in 2017) “Anthropology of Health, Biosphere and Healing Systems”. UH Chair in Cuba has the objective to implement the knowledge on properties of medicinal plants both for scientists and consumers, with special attention to the socio-cultural impact of traditional medicine.
