UNESCO Chair Salerno joined the online livestreaming event organized by UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe – Science Unit.

Following the First Regional Meeting of Science-related UNESCO Chairs and Centres in South-East Europe held in 2022 and the Palazzo Zorzi Declaration, the Science Unit of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe has developed and offered a tool, interactive platform dedicated to this network, to UNESCO Chairs and Centres.

The  platform is aimed to highlight

– the research projects of each Chair or Center to be shared with other Chairs and Centres

– the space to be created for sharing each Chair and Center contribution. The UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe, located in Venice, is the only UNESCO field office in the region with a specific mandate on programme development and implementation: to facilitate the advancement of the overall UNESCO programme through specialised as well as interdisciplinary actions in the field of culture and natural sciences, to foster sustainable development, dialogue, reconciliation, and cooperation, with special focus on South-East Europe and the Mediterranean basin.
